Sales figures for the third quarter of 2012-13

Avanquest Software is posting sales revenue of € 24.3M for the 3rd quarter of 2012/2013 (January-March 2013), down slightly compared to the 3rd quarter of 2011/ 2012. In pro forma figures, sales were down by 5.8%. For the first nine months of the 2012/2013 financial year, sales totaled € 77.1M, down 1.7% compared to the same period of the previous year (-7.4% in pro forma data). For this period, the strong growth in online business continued (+26.8% in gross data and +14% in pro forma data for the first nine months). The main online divisions – SoftCity for downloads and applications, PlanetArt for Web-to-print services and VCOM for Cloud and hosting services - showed a solid dynamic, with organic growth rates of 12%, 46% and 51% respectively, over the first nine months of the year. In offline business, the decline slowed down over this period in relation to the first few months of the year, with the English market holding up well. Offline activities now account for 39% of the Group's total sales.

Confirmed potential of strategic growth engines

As part of the online strategy introduced last January 15, three strategic steps were identified as the Group's priorities. Business in the third quarter of 2012/2013 confirms this potential. The big success achieved by distance printing of photos on original media, like smartphone cases, is pulling sales upward for PlanetArt, , whose organic growth exceeds 50% over the first nine months of the year. Downloads were led this quarter by the Photo segment of the software and applications developed by Avanquest, the Group's historic segment, most notably by the release of a new version of Photo Cut-Out, a photo retouching software and the launch of Photos On TV, an iOS application that projects photos taken with smartphones onto connected TVs. Overall, Avanquest mobile applications were downloaded more than 2,000,000 times across all platforms. At the same time, the stability of business at Arvixe, which is 50% held by the Group and specializes in hosting services, is behind the VCOM performance.
